Born from a half hearted attempt at house hunting and an appreciation of design the instagram project @suburban_kingdoms acts as a way to preserve an Australian Suburbia that is quickly disappearing. Through the curation of photographs taken from real estate ads the project hopes to share small snippets of soon to be lost histories. Underneath each photograph a caption is taken from the actual real estate ads, a playful attempt at highlighting the detachment between the idea of home and the priority of investment in the current climate.
